Car Free Rustic Camping!

Because you will be sharing 5 acres (2 hectares) of space with only 8 other pitches, you will enjoy plenty of room to breathe. Each pitch is situated in its own secluded spot amongst the trees offering plenty of privacy from your neighbouring campers but you may still like to chat over a glass of champagne– there’s plenty of space to enjoy, around 200 square meters per pitch plus all the surrounding grounds! Rustic camping is all about getting back to the true essence of outdoor living. There are no organised activities (other than an optional Champagne Tasting Evening) , no giant communal shower and toilet blocks, no electricity, and no running hot water (although we provide a WC and wash room in reception for campers use) and plenty of 20 litre solar shower packs which heat up during sunny days for a lovely hot shower in the afternoon/evening. You can collect cold water from the water points located close to the pitches and shower in our solar heated camping shower in the open air in the privacy of our rustic shower cubicle. Toilet facilities are provided in reception at the house. In true French tradition, gentlemen are encouraged to pee discreetly in the garden – we have plenty of trees – this is the best environmental solution and also helps to discourage foxes! At night you can find your way using solar lights positioned at strategic points in the garden and sit and watch the stars by candle light or oil lamps. Camp fires and BBQ's are permitted when dug into a fire pit. You can go for a swim any time of the day or night or pop up to reception for a bottle of wine or chilled Champagne. When you arrive we'll show you the car park and bring our little tractor and trailer to unload your kit and take you to your pitch. This means there are no cars on the pitches, just tents and space! This may be a different sort of campsite to ones you are used to but here you can enjoy freedom, peace and lots and lots of space. We do not have facilities for caravans. One tent per pitch (includes up to two people) Extra child/person(s) 2 years and over: 5 Euro per night per person Pup Tent/Gazebo: 5 Euro per night Private Hire: Hire the entire area, 3 acres approximately for 315 Euro (Friday to Monday) or 735 Euro per week. 10 tents maximum.
